Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of UAE accounting experience, with a solid understanding of VAT filing, UAE corporate tax compliance, and general accounting best practices. This role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial operations in line with UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with UAE accounting standards.
• Prepare and file VAT returns (quarterly/monthly as applicable) in accordance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of UAE Corporate Tax returns, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Monitor cash flow, expense control, and budget adherence.
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion.
• Keep abreast of changes in UAE tax laws and regulations, providing updates and advice to management when needed.
• Assist in payroll processing, employee expense claims, and related statutory filings.
• Support management in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are an advantage).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven accounting experience in the UAE.

Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT law and corporate tax compliance.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Soft Skills:
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
