Job Description

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and account reconciliations.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by compiling financial data and preparing basic reports.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and expense claims in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Help prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain and update accounting databases and filing systems, ensuring all documentation is organized and accessible.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the audit process by providing requested documentation and assisting with audit queries.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and donor requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes and efficiency.

Job Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit or agricultural sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting systems and processes.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Above average proficiency in the English Language
