Job Description

• Record and monitor all direct and indirect costs related to raw materials (cement, aggregates, additives, fuel, etc.), labor, and equipment.
• Compare actual costs to budgeted/standard costs and report variances.
• Prepare cost analysis reports for management on a regular basis.
• Monitor material usage and reconcile with stock records.
• Work closely with the storekeeper to ensure accurate stock valuation.
• Conduct monthly and annual inventory counts.
• Calculate the cost per cubic meter of ready-mix concrete.
• Allocate plant operating costs, transportation, and overhead across production batches.
• Support pricing decisions with updated cost data
• Assist in preparing budgets and cost forecasts for the plant.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly cost reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory).
• Experience from 3-5 years in the same field.
• Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Industry-specific experience (e.g., manufacturing, contracting, or construction) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standards, and financial regulations.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis).
• Ability to prepare cost sheets, job costing, and project profitability reports.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Budget preparation and cost control monitoring.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
