Job Description

• Has knowledge of cost accounting.
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely delivery of required documentation.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial deadlines are met.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing financial reports and statements for management review.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment.
• Experience in leading or mentoring junior staff is a plus.
