We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas sector in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
2. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
3. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
4. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
5. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances to inform management decisions.
6. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
7. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
8. Provide financial guidance and support to other departments, helping to drive operational efficiency.
9. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in accounting and finance.
10. Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with relevant certifications such as CPA or ACCA preferred.
2. Demonstrates at least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
3. Exhibits strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
4. Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present financial information to stakeholders.
5. Is proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
6. Shows strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Possesses a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Demonstrates integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
9. Is adaptable and willing to learn new processes and technologies as needed.
10. Exhibits a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements specific to the Oil & Gas sector.
