This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to analyze financial data and prepare insightful reports for management decision-making. The Accountant will collaborate closely with project managers and other departments to ensure that financial transactions are recorded accurately and that budgets are adhered to. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, thereby safeguarding the financial assets of the company. Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable regulations.
Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and internal accounts to ensure accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for various construction projects.
Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and limitations.
Manage payroll processing, including timekeeping, disbursements, and related documentation.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing necessary reports and filings in a timely manner.
Collaborate with project managers to analyze financial performance and provide guidance for cost control and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or Fitout industry.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficient in accounting software (Tally Prime & Odoo)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey financial information clearly.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
