Job Description

Job Summary
 

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead and supervise the accounting team in our growing FMCG supply chain company. The role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing tax and social insurance obligations, and preparing accurate financial reports for management decision-making.
 

Key Responsibilities
 

• Supervise and review daily accounting transactions (AP, AR, GL, Inventory).
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and tax regulations.
• Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage all aspects of income tax, VAT, payroll tax, and social insurance reporting.
• Conduct account reconciliations, accruals, and provisions on time.
• Monitor inventory accounting and cost allocations in line with FMCG operations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Support in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA / CMA certification is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, social insurance, and compliance.
• Experience in FMCG or Supply Chain industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
