Job Summary
The operational internal auditor’s role entails conducting internal audits of operational and financial processes within the healthcare company, assessing adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. he/she identifies opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and financial controls, performs risk assessments, and devises audit plans. Additionally, he/she documents audit findings, communicates results to management.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Audit Planning:
Audit Execution:
Execute audit procedures in accordance with the approved audit plan, including testing controls, reviewing documentation, and conducting interviews.
Performs data analysis and examination of Medical-related documentation to identify anomalies or areas of concern.
Discusses findings with process owners to validate observations and gather additional information as needed.
Identifies and assess the impact of control weaknesses and deviations on CMC’s medical operations and compliance performance.
Collaborates with other audit team members to ensure comprehensive coverage of audit objectives and efficient use of resources.
Maintains clear and organized work papers documenting audit evidence, procedures performed, and conclusions reached.
Audit Reporting:
Follow-up:
Monitor the status of management action plans and perform follow-up audits to assess the adequacy of corrective actions.
Maintain a comprehensive audit trail, including supporting documentation, for all audit engagements.
Communicate with auditees to address any delays or challenges in implementing audit recommendations.
Document and report on the status of audit follow-up activities, including any outstanding issues or unresolved findings.
Collaborate with audit team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in tracking and reporting audit follow-up results.
Compliance:
Conducts audits and reviews to assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to healthcare operations and financial practices.
Conduct audits to assess compliance with regulatory requirements related to patient care, billing practices, privacy, and data security.
Identify areas of non-compliance or potential regulatory risk and recommend corrective actions to mitigate those risks.
Document findings and observations related to regulatory compliance in audit reports.
Stay up to date with changes in regulatory requirements and incorporate them into audit planning and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one-year experience in auditing, either in an external audit firm, internal audit department, or relevant industry experience.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate audit findings, recommendations, and reports clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, including management, audit team members, and other relevant parties.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate and build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders, fostering an environment of trust, respect, and cooperation.
Ethical Conduct: Commitment to upholding ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information and conducting audit activities with impartiality and objectivity.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using audit software, financial analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to conduct audit procedures, analyze data, and prepare audit reports efficiently.
Risk Assessment: Understanding of risk management principles and the ability to assess and prioritize audit risks, anticipate potential issues, and develop risk-based audit plans and strategies accordingly.
Teamwork: Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary audit team, sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices to achieve common audit objectives and deliver quality outcomes.
Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory developments in the field of auditing and actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Fluent in verbal and written Arabic and English.
