Job Description
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular cost reports for management review.
- Monitor and control expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, documentation, and records.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning related to production costs.
- Support internal and external audits by providing detailed cost data and explanations.
- Evaluate and improve cost control processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial analyses to support pricing, profitability, and investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost accounting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data.
