Job Description

• General Ledger Maintenance:
  Record, classify, and reconcile all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger on a daily and monthly basis.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing:
  Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; ensure all entries are posted before financial closing deadlines.
• Account Reconciliations:
  Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier accounts, and intercompany transactions to maintain accurate balances.
• Fixed Assets Accounting:
  Record and monitor additions, disposals, and depreciation of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with company capitalization policy.
• Expense Analysis and Cost Control:
  Review and analyze expenses to ensure accuracy, proper allocation, and adherence to budgets.
• Support for Financial Statements Preparation:
  Assist in preparing trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet with detailed supporting schedules.
• Tax and Compliance Support:
  Prepare and submit required information for VAT, WHT, and income tax compliance, in coordination with the tax team.
• Audit Coordination:
  Provide all necessary documentation and explanations to external and internal auditors during audit reviews.
• Policy and Procedure Adherence:
  Ensure accounting transactions comply with company policies, Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), and internal controls.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in FMCG or distribution companies.
• Strong understanding of Egyptian Accounting Standards and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
