We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team in the Food & Beverage Production industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost data to ensure accurate reporting and effective cost control measures. This role is crucial in providing insights that drive strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency. The Cost Accountant will work closely with various departments to gather financial data, assess production costs, and support budgeting and forecasting processes. This position requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze monthly cost reports to identify variances and trends in production costs.
2. Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to gather data on material usage, labor costs, and overhead expenses.
3. Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
4. Conduct cost analysis for new product development, providing insights on pricing strategies and profit margins.
5. Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
6. Review and verify inventory records, ensuring proper valuation and reconciliation of stock levels.
7. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to cost accounting practices.
8. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements to enhance profitability.
9. Prepare financial forecasts and projections based on historical data and market trends.
10. Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff on cost accounting methodologies and best practices.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar financial role, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
2. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and methodologies.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
4. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with strong Excel skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
8. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are a plus.
9. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
10. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, with a focus on continuous improvement.
