About the Job

A company undertaking a large renewable energy project owned by a reputed global shareholder group. This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant for a Solar PV project, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

This role must be filled urgently, hence please apply only if you are able to join immediately (no later than 4 weeks).

Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial matters including the following:

• book keeping, financial accounting and reporting
• processing invoices, MIS reporting
• timely and accurate payments, reconciling accounts
• processing draw downs from lenders and shareholders
• budgeting and forecasting.
• preparation of financial statements, VAT / tax returns
• coordination with internal and external auditors.

Job Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements
• Experience in setting up ERP, processing Accounts Payable
• Experience handling project finance lenders, shareholders and auditors
• Proficiency in financial analysis and use of financial models
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance; professional certification preferred
• Experience in the energy, power or infrastructure sector is a plus
