We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our team in Mtaileb, Lebanon. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and providing insights into financial performance. You will work closely with various departments to streamline processes and improve financial reporting. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
  2. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
  3. Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  4. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights on variances and trends.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
  6. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  7. Maintain compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax preparation and filing.
  8. Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes.
  9. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
  10. Train and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  3. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze data effectively.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey financial information clearly.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative approach.
  7. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle unexpected challenges with composure.
  9. Relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus but not mandatory.
  10. A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development.
