countant – Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Accountant to become part of our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting the business in maintaining healthy financial operations, and ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations. The role requires strong technical accounting ability, sound judgment, and the confidence to work in a busy commercial environment. You will collaborate across departments, help interpret financial data to support decision-making, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our financial processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports and analysis to support management decisions.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure that all financial activities are compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
- Manage and review budgets, payroll, invoices, revenue, and expenditure transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records on a day-to-day basis.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Investigate and resolve any financial inconsistencies or variances.
- Implement and maintain strong accounting practices and forecasting methods.
- Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes.
- Develop and document policies and procedures for finance-related workflows.
- Support with business planning, cash flow forecasting, and strategic financial decisions.
- Provide insight and guidance on financial performance and potential investment opportunities.
Skills
Required Experience & Skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
- Previous experience working in an accounting or financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Competent with accounting software and Excel/Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
