About the job Accountant
Job Title: Accountant (Russian-Speaker)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 12,000 per month (fixed, all-inclusive)
Language: Preferably Russian speakers
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will play a key role accounting, closing, and reporting processes are executed timely and accurately. The purpose of this role is to support and execute:
Monthly closing and reporting activities
Day-to-day technical accounting - functional and technical support (entries posting, control documents flow); drive operational and continuous improvement projects
Address operational issues and follow through to resolution in an effective and timely manner
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Reporting Accountant reports to the Manager
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage full accounting cycle: bookkeeping, posting entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing.
Prepare accurate financial statements (G/L, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) including payments, invoicing, and collections.
Process payroll, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with labor.
Prepare and submit VAT and Corporate Tax filings in accordance with UAE tax law.
Maintain and reconcile all bank accounts, credit card expenses and employee petty cash expenses.
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
Maintain proper documentation and control over all accounting records and transactions.
Interact with auditors, tax advisors and banks as needed.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
Support management with financial analysis, cash flow monitoring.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or equivalent
3 - 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a small-to-mid-size company or standalone accounting role/ Big4 experience is a plus
Functional knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax regulations
Hands on expertise with G/L accounting, closing & reporting processes, and activities
Strong deductive and analytical skills
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or similar ERP).
Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of meeting deadlines independently.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with management, banks, and auditors.
Experience preparing management reports and financial analysis for decision-making.
Self-motivated, proactive, and hands-on with an ownership mindset.
Team player, able to work collaboratively with an end-to-end mindset
