Job Description

• Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management for strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to track material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Conduct regular audits of cost records and processes to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate cost projections and analysis.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling cost accounts and preparing journal entries.
• Evaluate and implement cost control initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste.
• Prepare and analyze inventory valuations, ensuring alignment with financial and operational objectives.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting cost accounting in manufacturing.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
