Job Description

• Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure accurate product costing.
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost records for all production activities in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs, investigating discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to optimize cost control processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed cost data and analysis.
• Participate in inventory valuation, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Evaluate and implement cost-saving initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements related to cost accounting.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff on cost accounting principles and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years and up to 6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
