We are hiring Senior Accountant supports the accounting department in handling daily financial operations, including data entry, tenant payments, invoices, reconciliations, and VAT-related tasks, ensuring accurate financial records for the rental homes business.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for financial efficiency.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Analyze property-level financial performance, occupancy rates, and revenue trends.
Generate management reports with actionable insights for operational and strategic decisions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Prepare budgets for multiple rental properties.
Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances.
Provide forecasts for revenue, expenses, and cash flow requirements.
VAT & Tax Compliance (UAE)
Ensure all accounting entries comply with UAE VAT laws and regulations.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
Maintain proper documentation for tax audits.
Audit & Compliance
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Ensure all financial processes comply with company policies and UAE accounting standards.
Maintain financial records for audit readiness.
Reconcile bank statements, tenant accounts, vendor accounts, and inter-company balances.
Resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments, and deposits.
Review and approve journal entries prepared by junior/assistant accountants.
Team Supervision & Mentoring
Supervise and guide junior accountants or assistants.
Assign responsibilities and review daily accounting work.
Train staff on accounting systems, processes, and VAT compliance.
Systems & Process Improvement
Implement accounting best practices and improve financial workflows.
Ensure efficient use of Property Management Systems (PMS) like Yardi, Guesty, or similar.
Automate reporting and reduce manual errors wherever possible.
