We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead and manage our accounting operations witha strong focus on financial closingsreporting and compliance. The ideal candidate willhave at least 7 years of progressiveaccounting experience with a proven track record in managing month-endand year-end closings ensuring accuracy and adhering to regulatory andinternal financial standards

Role Description:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations includinggeneral ledger accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Lead the monthly quarterly and year-end financial closing processes ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations including VAT corporate tax and withholding taxes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate the annual audit process.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team providing training and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic planning.
• Maintainand enhance accounting systems and procedures to improveoperational efficiency.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field (CPA CMA or equivalent is a plus).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience in financial management and accounting.
• Strong background in financial closings reporting and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks or similar ERP systems).
• Strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP.
• Excellent leadership communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
