Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant and Personal Assistant to join our growing hospitality business, which includes a newly launched café/bistro and a furnished apartment operation, with plans for expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food & Beverage Costing
- Develop and maintain accurate food and beverage cost structures.
- Monitor recipe costing, portion control, and menu pricing strategies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Stock & Inventory Control
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly inventory processes.
- Implement stock control procedures to reduce loss, pilferage, and wastage.
- Reconcile physical stock with accounting records regularly.
- Supplier & Payment Management
- Track purchase orders and ensure alignment with budgets.
- Waste Management & Control
- Develop waste tracking systems and reporting tools.
- Analyze waste trends and implement strategies to minimize loss.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to enforce best practices.
- Work closely with ownership and auditor to develop budgets and financial strategies.
- Assist Shareholder reconciliation his banks, suppliers, statements, Assist with payment and daily tasks.
Skills
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a start-up environment and adapt to changing needs.
