Job Title: Accountant (Accounts Receivable Focus)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our full accounting function, with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and proper reconciliation of customer accounts. This position is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our operations in Turkey and the wider region; therefore, Turkish nationality or professional-level proficiency in the Turkish language is mandatory. Candidates must also be based in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (Primary Focus)

• Process customer invoicing in line with company policies and freight forwarding requirements.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely collection of dues.
• Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments and maintain regular communication.
• Reconcile AR balances, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate posting of receipts.
• Prepare AR aging reports, credit control updates, and weekly/monthly collection summaries.
• Coordinate closely with the Operations and Sales teams to validate billing data and resolve disputes.

General Accounting Support

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support Accounts Payable and General Ledger activities when required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Turkish National living in Dubai OR professional-level Turkish language proficiency (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industries.
• Strong understanding of AR processes, credit control, and customer account management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with DAX or similar ERPs is an advantage).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and integrity.
• Ability to work independently with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
