We are looking for a highly qualified Head of Accounting to lead our accounting team located in both UAE and Egypt. This critical role involves supervising a dedicated group of accountants who provide exceptional bookkeeping services to our clients in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in accounting, with a strong emphasis on audit experience, preferably gained from working in a professional firm. In addition, knowledge of tax regulations and practices will be highly valued, as it will enhance our service offerings and client satisfaction. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, driving strategic financial management, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage a team of accountants based in both UAE and Egypt, ensuring effective delivery of bookkeeping services to clients.
2. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
3. Prepare and present detailed financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
4. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
5. Manage the budgeting process, forecasts, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with financial goals.
6. Conduct regular audits and reviews of financial reports to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
7. Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering professional development and continuous improvement.
8. Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
9. Analyze financial data to generate actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions.
10. Stay abreast of changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Extensive experience in a senior accounting role, ideally as a Head of Accounting or equivalent position.
2. Strong audit experience, preferably from a reputable professional firm, is highly desirable.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax regulations and their application in financial reporting and compliance.
4. Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing diverse teams effectively.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to present financial information clearly and effectively.
7. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
9. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) is preferred.
10. Experience in the financial services industry is a significant plus.
