Reporting To: General Manager / Finance Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

1. JOB PURPOSE

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with financial, tax, and internal control requirements related to aviation operations, aircraft transactions, fuel supply, GSE trading, and international payments.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting & Financial Records

- Maintain general ledger, journals, and supporting schedules

- Record revenues, expenses, accruals, and provisions accurately

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

- Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions

Aviation & Project Accounting

- Account for aircraft sale and purchase transactions, broker commissions, and escrow payments

- Track fuel supply contracts, uplift invoices, and client billing

- Manage accounting for GSE sales, refurbishment, logistics, and shipping costs

- Allocate costs per aircraft, project, or contract

Accounts Payable & Receivable

- Prepare and issue customer invoices

- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances

- Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents

- Process payments in accordance with approval procedures

Banking & Treasury

- Prepare bank transfer requests and payment instructions

- Reconcile bank accounts (USD, AED, and other currencies)

- Coordinate with banks on international transfers and FX matters

Tax & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and VAT regulations

- Prepare tax/VAT returns and supporting schedules

- Support external audits and inspections

3. AUTHORITY & LIMITATIONS

- No authority to commit the company financially without written approval

- No authority to sign contracts or bank documents unless formally delegated

4. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration,

Experience:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance

- Aviation, logistics, or trading experience is an advantage

5. CONFIDENTIALITY

The Accountant shall maintain strict confidentiality of all financial, commercial, and operational information during and after employment.
