Job :

The Senior Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management of academic programs, departments, and operational units within the Business & Management Cluster of UM6P. The role ensures effective budget management, cost optimization, and overall financial performance. As a strategic partner, the Senior Financial Controller supports Deans, Program Directors, and Management in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities 

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of annual budgets for academic and administrative entities.
• Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts; recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate rolling forecasts and contribute to multi-year financial planning.

Performance Monitoring

• Produce monthly reports (P&L by program, department, and activity).
• Monitor direct and indirect costs as well as key academic KPIs (cost per student, teaching cost, program profitability, occupancy rate...).
• Conduct profitability analyses and propose optimization levers for programs and activities.

.Internal Control & Expenditure Governance

• Ensure the relevance and accuracy of purchase commitments and compliance with financial procedures.
• Support operational units in using financial tools (SAP, ERP systems) and managing their budgets.
• Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and approval workflows.

Business Partnering with Academic Leaders

• Advise Deans, Program Directors, and project managers on the financial implications of their decisions.
• Provide ad-hoc analyses to support academic planning (launching new programs, faculty recruitment, educational investments...).
• Participate in steering committees and performance review meetings 

Cross-functional Projects

• Contribute to transformation initiatives (financial digitalization, P&L structuring, new business models).
• Lead or support financial studies: pricing, cost analyses, profitability evaluations, overhead optimization, etc.
