Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will support the financial activities ensuring accurate transaction recording compliance with accounting standards and assisting in maintaining financial integrity. This role requires a proactive attitude attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Work Conditions:

Working Days : Monday to Thursday Onsite
Friday & Sunday Working from home 4 Hours Only Saturday Off

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Update and maintain expenditure records and support the preparation of financial reports.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of vendor accounts and notify management of any variances.
• Assist in recording and maintaining daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Support the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all bank transactions are recorded accurately.
• Update daily weekly and monthly cash flow statements.
• Assist in tracking assets equipment purchases and accounts for acquisitions.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and address discrepancies in financial records.
• Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting on accounts payable and cash flow activities.
• Provide general support during internal and external audits.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• 12 years of accounting experience preferably in the retail or convenience store industry(is an asset).
• Familiarity with GAAP and basic financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational and problemsolving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
