Position Overview

Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment is seeking a Finance Executive to join its Studio Distribution team, supporting the Accounts Receivable function. The role focuses on managing customer accounts, driving collection efforts, reconciling balances, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining healthy cash flow, resolving payment discrepancies, and strengthening relationships with exhibitors and partners within the entertainment industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and monitor the receivable aging report regularly to ensure prompt follow-up on outstanding balances.

* Maintain and reconcile customer Statements of Accounts (SOAs) to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

* Contact customers through email, phone calls, and other communication channels to follow up on overdue payments and ensure timely collections.

* Coordinate with internal departments and the Global Solutions team to ensure payments are accurately applied to the correct accounts.

* Investigate and resolve discrepancies or reconciliation issues raised by exhibitors promptly.

* Identify slow-paying or non-responsive customers and escalate cases to management with recommended actions.

* Provide detailed updates to senior management on collection performance, customer responses, and aging trends.

* Assist in preparing periodic reports on receivables, collections, and outstanding balances.

* Maintain thorough documentation for all communication and collection activities for audit readiness.

* Support continuous process improvement within the receivables function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

* Handle additional ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Finance Manager or management team.

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

* Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or accounts receivable functions.

* Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are an advantage.

* Experience in the cinema or entertainment industry preferred.

* Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and customer account reconciliation.

* High accuracy and attention to detail when handling large data sets.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with customers and internal teams.

* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for results.
