Job Title: Accountant Location: UAE Industry: Contracting / Construction Employment Type: Full-time Availability: Immediate joiners preferred

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in the contracting / construction industry to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain compliance with UAE regulatory and VAT requirements. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting activities including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports

Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including VAT filing, reconciliation, and documentation

Maintain accurate financial records in line with UAE accounting standards and company policies

Support internal audits, prepare audit schedules, and coordinate with external auditors

Monitor project-related costs, revenues, and margins relevant to contracting/construction projects

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities

Ensure timely closure of books and adherence to reporting deadlines

Liaise with internal stakeholders and external authorities when required

Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE

Mandatory experience in the contracting / construction industry

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, financial reporting, and statutory compliance

Proven auditing experience including internal audits and external audit coordination

Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Immediate availability is preferred
