Job Description
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a general accounting, must have in constructions field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
