About the team you are joining
IATA Corporate services (CS) encompass
Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, Financial Planning
& Analysis (FP&A), Global Finance Operations,
Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement
activities.
Join our Corporate Services division
to help build the next generation Finance organization for IATA. The ambition
that we have set ourselves as a division is to Be
the trusted proactive partner, providing data-driven and AI- enabled corporate
services for the business, while upholding the highest fiduciary standards.
The Senior Manager, FP&A and Finance plays a
key regional leadership role in managing the financial performance of
the Africa & Middle East Region, reporting directly to
the Regional Head, Corporate Services and overseeing one direct
report. The role covers financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting,
and provides finance support across operations, particularly in
the Accounts Receivable stream.
What your day would be like
The Regional FP&A
and Finance team plays a strategic role in assisting the Regional Head of
Corporate Services (RHCS) in aligning the financial priorities with the
ambitions of Corporate Services, supporting the successful delivery of IATA s
Corporate Services strategy and objectives in supporting the business.
In this role you will lead and drive the
following key activities:
Ensure financial planning and analysis practices are executed in a global, agile, efficient and business-oriented manner,
Lead the forecasting, budgeting and three-year planning processes in close collaboration with the RHCS and the business division,
Build strong, trusted partnerships with divisional business leaders, offering proactive financial guidance and performance oversight,
Provide expert and ad hoc financial analysis and support for complex business cases, project evaluations and long-term financial planning,
Enhance the quality and impact of financial insights delivered to stakeholders - offering forward-looking data driven analysis grounded in key drivers and assumptions to support decision making,
All in-house Finance activities related to Regional Hinge, Account Receivables Reporting and Fixed Asset Management, in full compliance with the Financial Policies Manual (FPM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),
Cash flow management & working capital optimization inflow forecasts,
Collaborate with Business Data & Analytics peers within Corporate Services to ensure the division s data & analytics needs are met,
Champion continuous improvement initiatives (via CIP continuous improvement program), focusing on operational efficiency, process optimizing and the adoption of best practices across the organization.
Support the ERP transformation initiative (BORA) by ensuring that business process requirements are accurately captured and reflected in the system s technical architecture (where applicable).
We would love to hear from you if
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a financial management position, preferably in a multinational environment
Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and provide proactive financial insights that influence decision-making
A Chartered Accountant qualification or University degree in Finance or Accounting and IFRS knowledge.
Proficiency in tools like Power BI and the ability to deliver data-driven, forward-looking analysis. Tec- savvy mindset, with experience in bringing data & analysis at the forefront of the function.
Track record of having used AI enabled capabilities to enhance the financial planning function,
Experienced with SAP migrations or other ERP is a distinct asset.
Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Mindset that fosters the team s culture and ambition of continuous improvement and innovation
Ability to build trust with stakeholders and translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
Fluent in English.
