• Develop, maintain, and review standard product costs and ensure alignment with actual production data.
• Analyze cost variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide detailed explanations for management review.
• Prepare and monitor cost allocation methods for various departments or production units.
• Conduct periodic profitability analysis by product, line, or business segment.
• Reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventories on a regular basis.
• Ensure accurate valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure physical counts match book records.
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Monitor actual spending vs. budget, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, production cost summaries, and management dashboards.
• Support financial closing activities and ensure timely submission of costing data to the finance department.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Support the implementation of ERP or costing system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
