We’re Hiring: Senior Accountant (Outsourced for Canada)

Our valued client in Canada is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team remotely from Egypt, working in alignment with Canadian time zones. This is an outsourced position, offering the opportunity to oversee general ledger operations, ensure financial compliance, and provide management with insightful reporting, all while leading and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy of all financial data. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting tasks prepared by junior staff. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and strategic analysis for management. Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of junior accountants. Ensure compliance with tax laws, internal controls, and auditing standards. Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and senior management. Recommend process improvements and cost-efficiency strategies.

Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CMA or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience:4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with international exposure.

Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and auditing standards. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas). Experience with ERP systems; Power BI preferred.

Soft Skills:Strong leadership, mentoring, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).

Work Conditions:Remote work from Egypt. Work schedule aligned with Canadian business hours.
