Our company specializes in the import of high-quality products from China and exports them to our various international branches. With a commitment to excellence, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced finance professional to join our team and oversee our diverse operations.
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified Accountant to assist our financial and operational functions across multiple locations. This role is pivotal in managing our entire financial operations, including accounting, financial planning, analysis, and HR-related matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our financial health, compliance, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, journals, and ledgers
• Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses)
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
2. Financial Reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Generate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards
3. VAT, Tax & Compliance
• Prepare and submit VAT returns to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
• Ensure correct VAT application on invoices and expenses
• Maintain VAT records and support VAT audits
• Assist with UAE Corporate Tax compliance
4. Payroll & WPS
• Process payroll in compliance with UAE Labor Law
• Ensure salary payments through WPS
• Calculate end-of-service benefits (gratuity)
5. Budgeting & Cost Control
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting
• Monitor costs and analyze variances
• Implement cost-control measures
6. Customs Clearance & Import Documentation
• Coordinate with customs clearing agents for import/export shipments
• Prepare and verify customs documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, HS codes)
• Ensure accurate customs duty and VAT calculations on imports
• Record customs-related expenses and clearances in accounting records
7. Cheque Clearance & Banking
• Manage cheque deposits and ensure timely cheque clearance
• Follow up with banks on returned or post-dated cheques
• Maintain cheque registers and monitor PDC collections
• Coordinate with banks for payment processing and reconciliations
8. Audits & Internal Controls
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE regulations
9. Invoicing & Collections
• Prepare VAT-compliant sales invoices
• Follow up on receivables and manage aging reports
• Coordinate with clients for payments and settlements
10. Accounting Software & ERP
• Maintain accurate records using accounting software
(Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, etc.)
• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for our UAE and international branches.
• Global Operations: Manage financial activities across multiple locations (Sharjah Free Zone, Dubai Mainland, Austria, Azerbaijan, Georgia), ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
• Import/Export Transactions: Handle financial transactions related to imports from China and exports to international branches, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and expansion in the cosmetics trading sector.
• HR Management: Oversee HR-related functions, including payroll, employee benefits, and compliance with labour laws in the respective regions.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's assets are protected.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in finance management In Dubai
• Skills: Strong understanding of international finance, import/export regulations, and HR management. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
