Via Medica in Association with International SOS is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team in the UAE. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate AP operations, timely payments, and smooth month-end close, while supporting service quality KPIs and strategic finance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate posting of trade and non-trade payables to correct GLs and analytical dimensions

  
  

• Review journals prepared by Junior AP Accountants prior to system posting

  
  

• Process periodic and ad hoc payments with zero tolerance for errors or duplicate payments

  
  

• Reconcile vendor statements, aged balances, and AP accounts

  
  

• Manage payroll journal postings and reconcile salary and payroll-related accruals

  
  

• Support month-end close activities in coordination with regional finance teams

  
  

• Act as liaison between Finance and HR for payroll-related matters

  
  

• Handle AP queries from internal and external stakeholders promptly

  
  

• Work closely with Treasury and CFO on banking, cash flow, and reporting

  
  

• Support peers and provide guidance to junior team members as needed

  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent

  
  

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Accounting / Accounts Payable

  
  

• Prior experience managing or supervising AP Officers or Junior Accountants

  
  

• Strong understanding of P2P / PTP processes

  
  

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume MNC environment is an advantage

  
  

• Working knowledge of SAP, SUN, or Oracle accounting systems

  
  

• Advanced Excel skills (including XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)

  
  

• Strong attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to meet tight deadlines
