Type of Contract: Service Contract, L5
Unit / Division: Human Resources Unit
Duty Station: East Jerusalem
Duration: 12 months (renewable)
The position is only open to nationals or residents with a legal permit/ID to work in Jerusalem.
You are required to fill in all mandatory fields on Workday in English and upload your English CV. Your application would be otherwise disqualified.
What will you do in this position?
To perform a range of HR tasks to support accurate implementation of WFP policies and procedures and facilitate the effective functioning of a client focused and strategy-oriented HR services.
Depending on your experience, the outcome of the assessments and the need of the Programme, the successful candidate will be placed under one of the teams within the HR Unit e.g., Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Operations etc.

Under the direct supervision of Human Resources Officer and the overall authority of the Head of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field related functional area is desirable.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or other relevant fields.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Has managed and implemented HR policy and procedures in line with WFPs operating standards
• Has conducted specific HR Services activities such as payroll administration, aspects of recruitment and interviews administration
• Has provided ad-hoc guidance to less experienced staff members
• Has provided briefing to new recruits as part of the onboarding process
• Has gained experience working across a range of WFP contexts and with varying strategic priorities
Language: Fluency (level C) in English and Arabic languages.
