Job description:
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Planning
Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Analyze financial performance and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
Support senior management with financial modeling, feasibility studies, and investment appraisals.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.
Monitor bank accounts, financing arrangements, and loan covenants.
Oversee payment processing and ensure proper authorization and controls.
Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Taxation
Oversee corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory filings.
Ensure timely and accurate tax returns and payments.
Liaise with tax consultants and authorities as required.
Payroll & Benefits Oversight
Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
Review employee benefits costs and recommend optimization strategies.
Ensure confidentiality and data integrity of payroll information.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement
Manage and optimize financial systems and ERP platforms.
Develop and improve financial policies, procedures, and controls.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and evaluate finance team members.
Set clear objectives, provide performance feedback, and support professional development.
Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Communication
Present financial reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Support cross-functional teams with financial guidance.
Provide clear explanations of financial data to non-financial managers.
الملف الشخصي المطلوب للمرشحين
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA is highly desirable.
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in UAE.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax laws.
