Job Advertised: Cost Accountant

We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of our new ventures, Baked & Brewed Bakeries and Capybara, scheduled for 2026.

The Position:

We are seeking a Cost Accountant responsible for analyzing, recording, and reporting on costs related to the company’s F&B production, inventory, and operations, striving to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Core responsibilities include calculating product costs, conducting variance analysis (comparing actual vs. standard costs), overseeing inventory valuations, and preparing cost-related reports to support management in budgeting and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

·         Cost Analysis & Reporting: Gather and evaluate data on labor, materials, and overhead to identify opportunities for improvement.

·         Inventory & Production: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform reconciliations, and oversee cycle counts.

·         Variance Analysis: Assess discrepancies between actual and standard product costs and provide detailed explanations.

·         Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts related to production and operational costs.

·         Process Improvement: Recommend efficient practices and process enhancements to optimize profitability.

·         Month-End Close: Assist in month-end closing activities, including the preparation of cost journal entries and financial reports.

Requirements and Skills

·         Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

·         Experience: Ideally, 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

·         Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

·         Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, conduct research, and perform comprehensive financial analyses.

·         Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in auditing and data management.
