Role Overview
The AR & GL Accountant is responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards, accurate financial records, and efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Generate and review customer invoices accurately and on time
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Perform AR aging analysis and report overdue balances
• Record customer payments and reconcile AR balances
• Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams to resolve billing issues
General Ledger (GL)
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts
• Post journal entries with proper documentation
• Perform monthly GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and IFRS standards
Other Responsibilities
• Support process improvements and accounting system updates
• Assist senior accountants and finance team as needed
• Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and management requests
