Overview of the role

We are looking for a detail oriented junior accountant / cashier to support our finance function within automotive operations. This role plays a key part in handling daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting reconciliations and reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.

What you will do

  • Handle daily cash, card, and cheque transactions related to vehicle sales, service, and parts
  • Issue official receipts and ensure accurate allocation to the correct accounts
  • Maintain daily cash books and perform end of day cash reconciliations
  • Prepare daily cash collection summaries by business line (sales, service, parts)
  • Deposit cash collections in line with company policy and safeguard all negotiable instruments
  • Record basic accounting entries including sales, expenses, receipts, and payments
  • Support bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities
  • Coordinate with sales and parts teams on documentation and postings
  • Support audits by providing required documents and explanations

Required skills to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting or cashiering (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Previous exposure to retail, automotive, or service environments is an advantage

You will be part of the finance and accounts team, working closely with sales, service, and parts departments. The team focuses on maintaining strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and smooth day to day operations within a fast paced automotive environment.
