Your Mission
You will responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely statutory reporting, and full compliance with Lebanese tax and social security regulations.
The role supports month-end and year-end closings, maintains strong internal controls, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial integrity across the organization.
Your Responsibilities
Accounting Operations:
Record and process supplier payments and manage Accounts Payable transactions
Reconcile supplier statements with company records and investigate discrepancies
Oversee and reconcile petty cash and ensure compliance with internal policies
Review, process, and reconcile employee travel expense reports
Manage employee reimbursements in line with company procedures
General Ledger & Closing:
Maintain accurate General Ledger records
Check journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities within set deadlines
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank, prepaid, and accrued accounts
Tax & Statutory Compliance:
Prepare Lebanese statutory declarations, including:
Value Added Tax (VAT)
Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
Non resident Tax (NRT)
National Social Security Fund (NSSF) declarations
Ensure timely tax payments and compliance with Ministry of Finance requirements
Maintain proper tax documentation and support tax audits when required
Controls, Reporting & Audit Support
Maintain effective internal controls over accounting transactions
Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
Assist in improving accounting processes, procedures, and controls
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
MBA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage
Between 5 and 8 years of relevant accounting experience
Proven experience in Lebanese tax and NSSF declarations (mandatory)
Experience working in an international or multi-site organization is a strong plus
Strong knowledge of Lebanese accounting and tax regulations
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Sage X3 or equivalent preferred)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
High attention to details
