Key Duties & Responsibilities1. Daily Accounting Operations Record daily journal entries accurately in accordance with the approved accounting system and company financial policies. Manage accounts payable related to suppliers and contractors. Verify and reconcile supplier invoices against approved purchase orders and certified contractor progress payments. Prepare payment requests after ensuring proper approvals and supporting documentation are in place. Reconcile and settle petty cash accounts. Monitor bank accounts and perform monthly bank reconciliations. Maintain organized financial records and ensure proper archiving of accounting documentation.2. Cost Control Monitor actual project costs against the approved project budget. Prepare cost variance reports highlighting deviations from planned budgets. Classify and allocate project costs according to project cost categories. Monitor operational expenses and ensure alignment with financial controls. Provide periodic financial analysis and cost insights to support the Project Manager.3. Cash Flow Management Prepare cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and operational liquidity. Monitor upcoming payment obligations and financial commitments. Prepare and manage supplier payment schedules. Monitor operational liquidity to ensure the availability of funds for project requirements.4. Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare monthly financial reports summarizing financial performance. Prepare preliminary financial statements and supporting schedules. Ensure proper follow-up of tax obligations and compliance with applicable tax regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable local accounting standards and financial regulations.5. Financial Administrative Support Support management in preparing the annual budget. Participate in preparing the project’s financial plan and forecasts. Conduct financial analyses and special reports as requested by management. Recommend improvements to financial procedures and internal controls. Job Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience3–6 years of experience in accounting or financial operations. Experience in project accounting, construction, or real estate development is highly preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices. Experience with accounting systems and ERP software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis. Knowledge of cost control and project budgeting practices. Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Languages Fluency in Arabic. Good command of English (written and spoken).
