Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant specializing in manufacturing. The Senior Cost Accountant will primarily oversee cost accounting systems, prepare and analyze financial statements, manage journal entries, and conduct in-depth financial and operational analytics. Collaborating closely with other departments, the role focuses on driving cost efficiency, ensuring compliance, and improving the accuracy of financial planning and reporting. Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor project expenditures and budgets. Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for ongoing projects and operations. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting. Monitor and analyze project budgets to identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions. Review and validate supplier and subcontractor invoices against contracts and project progress. Support tendering and procurement processes by providing cost estimates and analysis. Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and ensure alignment with budgeted costs. Prepare and present cost control documentation and reports to senior management. Assist in the development of project cash flow projections and financial planning. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all cost control activities.

Qualifications Proven expertise in Cost Accounting, including cost analysis and cost control strategies Strong proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements with attention to detail Excellent Analytical Skills to review financial data and provide actionable insights Experience with Journal Entries and general Accounting practices Solid foundation in Finance and understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional certifications such as CMA or CPA are a plus5 to 7 years of experience in cost control, within manufacturing or industrial sectors, is a must.
