Job Description
Nafra Health is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Group Accountant to oversee the full financial accounting function across all entities within the group. This is a senior-level role requiring deep expertise in healthcare finance, group consolidation, and Egyptian regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who can independently manage the books, drive financial accuracy, and support strategic decision-making at the group level.
- Maintain and manage the general ledger for all group entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records at all times.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements for each entity and at the consolidated group level.
- Handle intercompany transactions and eliminations across all Nafra Health entities.
- Oversee the full revenue cycle accounting specific to the medical sector, including insurance claims, MOH reimbursements, and patient billing reconciliation.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes with full ownership and minimal supervision.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing, accurate aging reports, and proper reconciliation.
- Control and reconcile petty cash, bank accounts, and treasury operations across all group branches.
- Oversee payroll accounting, including social insurance entries, staff cost allocation, and HR-related financial transactions.
- Manage fixed assets including medical equipment capitalization, depreciation schedules, and asset registers.
- Oversee medical supplies and inventory costing, including stock reconciliation and valuation (FIFO / Weighted Average).
- Ensure full compliance with Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) regulations, including VAT filing, withholding tax, and corporate tax returns.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare all required audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Develop and maintain management reports, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow and provide forecasting reports to senior management on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) across all financial reporting.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is a strong plus
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 5 years in the healthcare / medical sector (mandatory)
- Proven experience in a group or holding company structure with multiple entities
- Experience working with clinics, hospitals, or medical centers is highly preferred
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian Tax Law, VAT, and social insurance regulations
- Deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle and medical billing accounting
- Experience with group consolidation and intercompany elimination entries
