Chief Accountant

Culinary Investment – Cairo, Egypt

Culinary Investment is a growing hospitality group developing and operating innovative restaurant brands. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a Chief Accountant to support the financial operations of the company and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records across all brands and branches.

The role requires a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical accounting skills and experience in managing day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, and cost control within a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

• Record and review financial transactions in the accounting system to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules.

• Maintain accurate accounting records for all restaurant branches and warehouses.

• Perform and review bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and account reconciliations.

• Support inventory accounting, including recording inventory movements and reviewing inventory adjustments.

• Participate in periodic stock counts across branches and warehouses and ensure proper accounting treatment.

• Assist in monitoring food cost reports and cost variances in coordination with operations and procurement teams.

• Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with management.

• Ensure proper documentation and organization of financial records and accounting files.

• Assist in preparing tax documentation and financial compliance reports in coordination with tax advisors.

• Work closely with management and operations teams to monitor branch financial performance.

• Support internal financial controls and ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.

• Assist in the preparation of financial information required by auditors and external consultants when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant or Chief Accountant role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial controls.

• Experience working with accounting systems or ERP systems.

• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost control.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
