Finance & Accounting Manager – IFMS Contract (Majnoon Oil Field)

Position Overview

Located at the Majnoon Oil Field in Iraq, this role is responsible for leading overall controller and cost recovery functions for KBR on the Integrated Field Management Service (IFMS) Contract.  The F&A Manager ensures timely and accurate financial transactions review, invoice generation, and optimized cash flow.

The role ensures robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and strong compliance with internal controls and contractual obligations

Key ResponsibilitiesCost Recovery Process

• Oversee cost recovery operations.
• Hold overall Responsibility for the end-to-end cost recovery process, including management of Payments and Collections
• Ensure client billings are accurate, timely and compliant with the contract.
• Manage Working Capital

Risk Management & Assurance

• Supervise Risk Management & Assurance operations.
• Lead financial risk management activities
• Conduct policy and compliance audits,
• Ensure external Compliance
• Drive internal reviews and audits.
• Strengthen control systems.

Internal Reporting

• Oversee accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis.
• Ensure integrity of financial records.
• Lead the development of annual budgets and multi-year plans.

Team Leadership / Development

• Lead, manage and develop a team of c30 people

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; a professional accounting certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, ideally within the oil & gas or energy sector
• Leadership Experience
• Experience working in remote site environments or large upstream projects is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.
