Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in trading, marine, or supply chain-related businesses and possess strong analytical and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  •    Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports 
  •    Handle daily accounting operations including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations 
  •    Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) 
  •    Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow 
  •    Manage payments, collections, and vendor accounts 
  •    Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on receivables 
  •    Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations 
  •    Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing 
  •    Support internal and external audits 
  •    Monitor inventory transactions and costing 
  •    Coordinate with operations for stock reconciliation 
  •    Track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities 
  •    Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions 
  •    Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders 
  •    Support management with financial analysis and reporting

Requirements:

• •    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• •    2–5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred) 
• •    Experience in trading / shipping / marine industry is an advantage 
• •    Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices 
• •    Familiarity with VAT regulations in the UAE 
• •    Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel 
• •    Attention to detail and high level of accuracy 
• •    Strong organizational and time management skills 
• •    Good communication skills
