The Role Reporting to the Area Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong compliance, and continuous improvement of finance processes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across the business, support audit readiness activities, and help ensure adherence to IFRS/Local GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control frameworks. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and strengthening the overall quality of financial reporting.

Base Location This role will work from our Cairo city centre office.

Working Pattern Sun – Thu office based

Main Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with IFRS / local GAAP and internal accounting policies Perform financial closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations Review and control general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses Support external and internal audits, including preparation of schedules and responses to audit queries while holding sole responsibility of financial statements external audit. Perform AR billing, follow-up and customer collections’ allocation

Skills, knowledge and qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, including senior‑level responsibilities Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards Experience working with SAP Solid understanding of taxation and regulatory requirements Experience in a multinational oil and gas industry.
