Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join a growing furniture and interior design company. The Accountant will manage daily financial operations, monitor project costs, support procurement and inventory processes, and help maintain accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced startup environment. The role requires strong organizational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work closely with design, sales, procurement, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts
• Monitor cash flow and support cash management activities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Track project costs for furniture production and interior design projects
• Monitor budgets and identify cost variances
• Assist management in pricing analysis and profitability reporting
• Support expense control and cost optimization initiatives

Inventory & Procurement Support

• Monitor inventory valuation and stock movement
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams regarding supplier invoices and purchase orders
• Maintain records for raw materials, finished products, and project-related purchases

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare VAT/tax documentation and ensure compliance with local financial regulations
• Assist with audits and financial inspections
• Maintain organized financial and legal documentation

Administrative & Reporting Duties

• Prepare payroll support documentation if required
• Generate financial dashboards and management reports
• Support founders and management with financial analysis and forecasting
• Assist in implementing accounting systems and improving financial processes

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–5 years of accounting experience preferred
• Experience in furniture, manufacturing, construction, interior design, or retail industries is an advantage
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel
