  Our client is a leading growing company in the field of Contracting & other businesses. With a solid presence in the region, they are expanding their operations and seeking a dedicated professional to streamline their financial processes and lead their accounting team toward excellence.

  
  

  Role Summary

  
  

  The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and meeting strict deadlines. This role reports directly to the CFO.

  
  Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with reporting deadlines.

     
     

  2. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and supervise the accounting staff to ensure productivity and professional growth.

     
     

  3. General Ledger Oversight: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up to date.

     
     

  4. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow and bank reconciliations to support contracting operations.

     
     

  5. Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with Iraqi tax regulations and financial laws.

     
     

  6. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist the CFO in developing annual budgets and performing variance analysis to track business performance.

     
     

  7. Process Improvement: Implement and maintain robust internal controls and hands-on accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

     
     
  Requirements

  • Education: BA in Accounting or Finance.

    
    

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in the contracting sector.

    
    

  • Skills: Sharp reporting skills, team management, and proficiency in accounting software.

    
    

  • Languages: Native-level Arabic and a good command of English.

    
    

  • Availability: Immediate joiners or those with a 30-day notice period are preferred.
