The Accountant position at our esteemed educational institution in Salwa, Kuwait, is a pivotal role that ensures the financial health and integrity of our operations. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our mission of providing quality education by maintaining accurate financial data and facilitating efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.
  2. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards.
  3. Conduct regular audits of financial processes and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.
  5. Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries and benefits to staff members.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation is in place.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support decision-making processes.
  8. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  9. Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collection and payment of invoices.
  10. Provide training and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
