JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The Accountant's responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, preparing budget forecasts, and ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with laws and local requirements.
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Prepare budget forecasts and financial analyses for management decision-making.
- Conduct financial audits and recommend improvements to internal accounting systems and controls.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information.
- Maintain technical knowledge by researching accounting policies and regulations.
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and ERP systems is a plus.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred (for more senior roles).
